                        National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) is a statutory body established under National Commission on the Status of Women Act, 2012. The Commission is mandated to review laws and policies, programs and other measures affecting the status and rights of women and gender equality in line with the national and international commitments.

 

 NCSW needs to hire services on following positions for its project.

Program Manager (Project Staff)

The PM will be responsible for leading the Project Team in the day-to-day implementation of the Project and managing Project resources effectively and efficiently so as to achieve the Project Objective and Outcomes within the set timescale and available budget. More specifically, the PM will perform the following duties relating to Project Personnel Management, Financial resources Management, Project Outreach, Project Planning and Implementation, Monitoring and adaptive management, Reporting and Accountability.  Ensure periodic reporting as required by GEP.

 

Masters degree in social sciences or development studies with overall 10 years of work experience in women, education and social development and related fields. (foreign degree will be preferred)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

*Extensive experience of working and coordinating with government departments will be desirable.

ü  Good analytical and planning skills; ability to set forecasts and refine/review them in the light of experience and further analysis;

Project Officer & Research coordinator (Project Staff)

The Project Officer will assist PM in smooth implementation of project, documentation of GBV cases, develop and compile of case studies and success stories.  Plan and organize meetings, trainings and consultations, Liaison with GEP, responsible for programmatic documentation for GEP administrative support functions whenever required. Proven experience of developing data processing and report writing both qualitative and quantitative

Reports (personnel previous reports will be required) , focus group discussions, facilitating workshops, conferences and any other report identified by the PM.

RC will be Preparing research outlines, research tools, facilitating training to enumerators and compilation of research

Minimum of Bachelors degree along with 5 years’ experience. Knowledge about

Research methods and skills along with five years’ experience in writing briefs and reports and research both qualitative and quantitative.

IT Officer

·     Manage National Resource Centre’s publications/ information for uploading  and updating  at resource center website

·     prepare presentations, excel books etc

·     Prepare update weekly updates for management

·     Develop databases, information/discussion blogs, , etc

·     Design Develop and Coordinate data collection formats for necessary information flow processes, events,

·     Maintenance of IT related equipment

·     Any other duty assigned by the Management.

Minimum of Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences along with at least 5 years’ experience e

in IT related assignments

Admin and Finance Officer

·         Oversee and manage the accounts of the project and prepare financial report.

·         Budget forecasting for overall project activities,

·         Maintenance of general ledger and petty cash, compensation management,

·         Financial reporting and documentation for GEP any other duty assigned by the PM

·         Event Management including boarding lodging etc.

 

Masters degree in finance with at least 05 years’ experience in admin and account management

ü  Experienced with strong analytical, problem solving skills.

ü  Ability to work under pressure

ü  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ü  Proven experience of working in excel and word

Librarian

ü  Responsible for overall operation of national resource centre

ü  Record keeping of all membership recorded and logging of books and journals

ü  selecting, developing, cataloguing and classifying library resources

ü  using library systems and specialist computer applications

ü  management of staff, including recruitment, training and/or supervisory duties

ü  liaising with departmental academic staff, external organizations and suppliers

ü  ensuring that library services meet the needs of particular groups of users

ü  managing budgets and resources

ü  supporting independent research and learning

ü  developing IT facilities

ü  assisting to conduct literature searches etc

ü  promoting the library's resources to users

Masters degree in library science

Minimum of 5 years experience of managing library resource

Formation of a working group for Institutionalizing GBV Indicators

 

ü  Identification of Working Group Members

ü  Formation of Working Group for institutionalizing GBV indicators

ü  Literature review of existing indicators in use by different govt. departments and donor agencies

ü  Development criteria  for setting indicators

ü  Recommendations for a set of  indicators

ü  Launch and adoption of standardized GBV indicators

ü  Masters degree in social sciences or development studies with detailed Knowledge about research methods and skills (foreign degree will be preferred)

ü  Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in writing briefs and reports and research both qualitative and quantitative (previous 3 to 5 reports will be required).
